Notification from: Gilford Middle School

Good afternoon.  What a beautiful day up at the Mountain!  We could not have had a nicer day to hold our annual Winter Carnival.  The skaters, too, enjoyed their time immensely over at Fay Ice Arena. And we discovered some very talented artists with the kids that stayed back at GMS for the day.  Overall a great success and my thanks to the faculty and staff who made this happen. Your kids, by the way, were pretty awesome, too!

Today also saw several of our talented musical performers attending the Lakes Region Junior High Music Festival.  Those qualifying for this prestigious event were: Chorus - Carter Forest, Vincent Marcella, Taylor Dillon, Camryn Marshall, Brenna O’Connor, Christine Pingol, Jesse Powers and Maria Uicker.  Band - Drew DeCarli, Patrick Gandini, Stratford Kenny, Savannah Neuman and Taryn Wernig. Kudos!

Also deserving congratulations is John Blandford who will proceed to the state championship for the National Geographic GeoBee on March 29 down at Keene State College.  The winner will move on to the national championship in Washington, D.C. later in May.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t give kudos to my lovely wife who recently won the State of NH Counselor of the Year Award.  For those of you who don’t know, Mrs. Sawyer is a counselor next door at the high school.

There are a couple of attachments to this week’s email:

Wednesday - Meadows Committee Meeting at the SAU (6:00)

Peter
