Good evening.  What do our students need right now?  They need plenty of that sunshine vitamin D!  Yes, we adults would like some, too!

Congrats to Mrs. Fox and her 6th Grade Math Team for capturing the the League Championship!  They bested 10 other teams by a whopping 52 points this season; that kind of difference is unheard of!  Our grade six mathletes were Ben Wolpin, Clark Blackwelder, Kyle Gandini, Carson McGreevy, Izzy Johnson, Georgia Eckhardt, Anna Coapland, Kendall Myers, and Mallory Daley.

There is still time for your child to join our LEGOsmiths Robotics Team.  We have a competition upcoming in May and would love for more students to join us.  If interested, please have your child contact Mrs. Damato. Upcoming practices are on April 5, April 12, May 3 and May 10.  This isn’t just for boys either; Mrs. Damato would love for some more girls to join the team, too.

Parents of 6th Graders.  There was an error in some of the report cards, particularly with the Unified Arts.  We are working to correct this and this will not have an impact on the second trimester honor roll.

I have attached two flyers to this week’s update:  One regarding the Gilford Youth Center’s Summer Camp and, the other, the PTA’s annual Poetry Competition.

The next Fingerprinting for Volunteers/Chaperones Clinic will be next Tuesday (4/2) from 8:00am-9:00am at the SAU. And the next School Board Meeting is this Monday at 6:00 at GHS (agenda attached).

Thank you and have a nice, warm, weekend!

Peter
