Good evening.  I’d like to start off with a friendly reminder that beginning on Monday (through June 5), school/homeroom will begin at 7:20 (instead of the regular 7:30 start time).  As superintendent Kirk Beitler emailed earlier this week, this will allow us to have the last day of school on Thursday, June 21. That morning will have our 8th Grade Moving Up Day in the high school auditorium.

You can help support the Gilford PTA (whom show great support for the Gilford School District) by ordering from their Gilford Schools’ Clothing Line.  Just follow this link to purchase great merchandise!

Good luck to the following students as they head to Plymouth State University on Saturday to compete in the statewide National History Day program:  Shannon O’Riordan (Salem Witch Trials), Ashley Kulscar, Alyssa Craigie, Vanessa Genakos, & Avery Marshall (The Christmas Truce of WWI), Caitlyn Costa & Zoe Lehneman (The Tudor Family and the Reformation), and Eva Bondaz, Nicole Green & Anna Cook (The War of Love).  They are vying to earn a place in the national competition in June down in Washington D.C.

We are looking for student-athletes to take part in our Unified Indoor Soccer program.  Anyone in grades 5-8 are welcome to join (just register on Family ID).  If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Christopher Parker.  This program is great fun!

The Student Council is hosting an after school social for students in grades 5 & 6 on Wednesday, April 18 from 2:30-4:00.  And it is free!

Despite a very strong showing at their last meet of the season (where they won!!), our 7th/8th grade math team finished in second place in their league for the season; out of 15 teams.  Kudos to Coach Bowler and his team on a very successful season. Or should I say “seasons” as we have consistently finished in the top 2 spots year after year.

Thank you and I hope you have a nice weekend with our families.
