Good afternoon.  I hope that you are enjoying both your vacation and this amazing weather we’re having today.  I think it is safe to say that winter is behind us. No, I do not believe in “jinxing.”

Forging ahead, the graduation date for Gilford High School is Sunday, June 17 at 10:00 at Meadowbrook.  Our 8th grade Moving Up Day is will be on Thursday, June 21 at 9:30 at GHS.

We will begin out state testing on Tuesday, May 1; this will continue throughout the month of May at different intervals for each of the grades; the 5th and 8th grades are up first doing their Science portion of the assessment followed by the 6th and 7th graders working on the English/Language Arts test.  Please be sure that your students eat and sleep well so that they can be at the top of their game. We do have headphones for students to use but your child may want to bring in their own. Please encourage your child to do their very best; it is important to see how they have shown improvement in their learning.

I have attached a flyer to this email regarding the Gilford Got Lunch program.  This contains information regarding registration as well as how you can help.

Next week’s events (please double-check with your coaches regarding games/meets):

  • Tuesday = Baseball and Softball (3:30)

  • Wednesday = Cribbage Play (2:30-3:30); Track Meet (4:00)

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your vacation!
