Good evening.  Just like last week’s update, I hope you get this in time so it serves as a reminder of our Choral Concert tonight at the high school (7:00).  Our talented vocalists, led by Mr. Warnick and Mrs. Sanborn, are sure to put on an enjoyable evening for you. Hope to see you there!

I have attached to this email the high school’s National Honor Society sponsored Memorial Day Race and Parade information.  Students from both the middle and high school always conduct a poignant ceremony and parade in honor of our fallen veterans.

Next Tuesday night is the district’s GEEF/STEAM Expo.  Our Robotics Team, led by Mrs. Damato, will be on hand showing off their robot that they have built and coded.  The event begins at 5:30 at the elementary school.

Speaking of our Robotics Team, last Saturday they competed in their last event.  We were fortunate enough to have enough students to send two teams to the competition.  Team “G5” consisting of Clark Blackwelder, Ben Selfridge, Ben Smith and Ben Wolpin (maybe they should have been named team “Ben”?) placed 5th out of 16 teams.  The other team, “LEGOSmiths” consisting of Abby Kenyon, Drew Decarli, Aydn Berube and Mikey Mitchell finished in 7th place. This team won the Judges Award for the presentation.  Congrats to both teams for a job well done!

The 2nd grade is holding a yard sale this Saturday from 8:00-11:00 at the elementary school.  If it rains, the event will be held in the cafeteria. Proceeds are to benefit the Gilford Got Lunch program.

Next week’s events:

  • Monday = Track Meet at Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith (4:00)

  • Tuesday = Baseball & Softball (4:00); GEEF/STEAM Expo at GES (5:30)

  • Thursday =  Baseball & Softball (4:00)

  • Friday = Baseball (3:30) & Softball (4:00) at Newfound; Music Trip to Fishercats game

Thank you and have a nice evening.

Peter
