  • 01/11/2019 Good evening.  Pretty good. We’re at 95% Winter Carnival permission slips returned; only missing 15.  I’d really like to get 100% so I will take them Monday morning; I really need to let Gunstock know on Monday of our numbers.Towards the end of these email is a letter from our 3 nurses here in the school district regarding the flu season; unfortunately, we do have confirmed cases.  I have also attached a .pdf from the CDC regarding tips on how to get through the flu season safely.Also. attached to this email is a flyer for the upcoming Lakes Region Girls Softball Winter Clinics.In Mr. Neveln’s 5th Grade Guidance class, students are undertaking a respect ...

  • 01/04/2018 Good afternoon and Happy New Year!  An abbreviated update this week; kind of like our school week!Please be sure that your child returns their Winter Carnival permission slips (and money) to their homeroom teacher by next Thursday.  If not, they will be stuck at GMS on that day.Congratulations to our readers!  We added an additional 444 books read in December to bring out total to 2533!  We’re more than halfway to our goal of 5000 this year. In case you were wondering, that translates to 94,612,871 words.  We should have a record number of million word readers this year!Events next week:Monday = Unified Hoops (3:00); School Board Meeting (6:00) agenda is attached ...

  • 12/21/2018 Greetings, staff, students and parents.  I'll be back next week with a regular update but wanted to be sure that I wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year and a relaxing vacation.  It is wonderful to work together with all of you to help make Gilford Middle School a great place to be.  Take care of yourselves and your families.Peter

  • 12/16/2018 Good afternoon.  I received a phone call from the person who organized the state of New Hampshire’s “Holiday Cards for the Military and First Responders” Drive.  She could not say enough nice things about our staff and student body for the cards that they created prior to Thanksgiving. She said they were spectacular, creative, beautiful, and from the heart.  Some of our students even shared pictures they created to make them more special. Many thanks to our students and staff who took part in this last month.   • 12/07/2018 Good afternoon.As you have probably noticed, report cards did not go home today.  There was (and still is) a computer glitch so they will go home with your child either Monday or Tuesday.  We apologize for the delay and the confusion (keep reading). While the 5th and 8th grade reports cards are accurate, some of the 6th and 7th grade report cards are displaying an “EX2” or “7U2” grade; these classes are currently in session.  We ask that you disregard those two classes/grades if you see them listed on your child’s report card.
