  • 05/25/2018 Good afternoon.  Please take some time this weekend to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms and the freedom for others around the world.  A great way to do this is to take part in the town’s annual Memorial Day Parade featuring our band students in grades 7-12. The program begins at 10:00 on Monday in front of the Gilford Community Church.Our Unified Indoor Soccer Team has a big week next week with two games.  The first is on Tuesday at 3:30 versus the Spaulding Youth Center here at GMS.  Then on Wednesday, they travel to Merrimack Valley Middle School for a 12:30 match.  Students may either bring their own lunch ...

  • 05/17/2018 Good evening.  Just like last week’s update, I hope you get this in time so it serves as a reminder of our Choral Concert tonight at the high school (7:00).  Our talented vocalists, led by Mr. Warnick and Mrs. Sanborn, are sure to put on an enjoyable evening for you.   • 05/11/2018 Good evening.  I hope you get this email in time as a reminder (if you needed it) for the Monster Band Concert taking place at GHS at 7:00 tonight.  Students from all three schools (plus Gilmanton!) will dazzle us with their talent. Pre-kudos to Mr. Warnick and Mrs. Beyrent for doing such a great job in conducting these musicians.  Next week, it’ll be Mr. Warnick (again) and Mrs. Sanborn leading our vocalists!   • 05/04/2018 Good afternoon.  We’ve gotten off to a good start to the state testing.  Overall, students were taking the assessment seriously and were working hard to improve their scores from last year’s state test.Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week (including School Nurse’s Day on the 9th).  The folks from both the PTA and our VSC (Volunteer Steering Committee) are planning some special treats for our well-deserved staff.  I know that I am “preaching to the choir” when I say that our staff continues to do an amazing job in educating our students here in Gilford.You should have already received an email regarding this summer’s Math Academy but I have also attached to this email ...

  • 04/24/2018 Good afternoon.  I hope that you are enjoying both your vacation and this amazing weather we’re having today.  I think it is safe to say that winter is behind us. No, I do not believe in “jinxing.”Forging ahead, the graduation date for Gilford High School is Sunday, June 17 at 10:00 at Meadowbrook.  Our 8th grade Moving Up Day is will be on Thursday, June 21 at 9:30 at GHS.We will begin out state testing on Tuesday, May 1; this will continue throughout the month of May at different intervals for each of the grades; the 5th and 8th grades are up first doing their Science portion of the assessment followed by the 6th and ...
