  • 06/15/2018 Good afternoon and welcome to the last weekly parent update of the school year!  Today was a very special day at the middle school as we had two major events; the Silver Hawk Award Ceremony and the Talent Show.  Regarding the Talent Show, I am always amazed as to the varied talents our students possess.  It is pretty cool to see the things that they do as we often do not have a platform here for them to show off their skills.  Kudos to Mr. Warnick and Mrs. Moynihan for organizing this event.We started off the day with the 3rd Trimester Silver Hawk Awards.  We did things differently this trimester by increasing the number of recipients (it is always ...

  • 06/08/2018 Good afternoon.  The kids can see the finish line.  Please encourage them to remain diligent in their studies up until the end.  It can be tough this time of year but our staff is working hard to keep the students in their routine as it will help finish the year on a positive note for all.I have attached a couple of documents regarding this GMS Summer Theatre Camp that Mr. Demko and Mr. Witham are running again this summer.Please be sure that you are mindful of your student’s lunch account balance.  As of Monday, they will not be able to charge for meals in the cafeteria.   • 05/25/2018 Good afternoon.  Please take some time this weekend to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms and the freedom for others around the world.  A great way to do this is to take part in the town’s annual Memorial Day Parade featuring our band students in grades 7-12. The program begins at 10:00 on Monday in front of the Gilford Community Church.Our Unified Indoor Soccer Team has a big week next week with two games.  The first is on Tuesday at 3:30 versus the Spaulding Youth Center here at GMS.  Then on Wednesday, they travel to Merrimack Valley Middle School for a 12:30 match.  Students may either bring their own lunch ...

  • 05/17/2018 Good evening.  Just like last week’s update, I hope you get this in time so it serves as a reminder of our Choral Concert tonight at the high school (7:00).  Our talented vocalists, led by Mr. Warnick and Mrs. Sanborn, are sure to put on an enjoyable evening for you.
