Winter Carnival, Jan. 23

Hopefully, your child(ren) have brought home their permission slips for our annual Winter Carnival event which will be held on Thursday, January 23 (snow date: February 6). A few things regarding the event:

The minimum cost for attending the event is $6.00 per student.

Additional costs are as follows:

Alpine/Snowboard Lift Ticket = $20.00

Includes, if needed, rental equipment, helmet, and/or lessons

Nordic Ski Ticket = $10.00

Includes, if needed, rental equipment

Tubing Hill Ticket = $6.00

Ice Skating = $6.00

Includes Tubing*

Snowshoeing (at Gunstock) and/or Lodge Dweller (doing none of the above) = No additional cost

All of the above (or any combination)* = Maximum cost of $25.00

There is no cost for staying at GMS for the day

Permission slips and payment are due on Wednesday, January 8. If applicable, the rental waiver and lesson paperwork are due at this time, as well.

*Because of time constraints, students will not be able to Ice Skate and rent equipment nor take a lesson. Tubing time will be limited, as well. Other than that, students may do one or more of more of the above. For example, if a student wants a ski lift ticket and also wants to tube, the total cost would be $25.00. Or if a student already has a season pass and wants to tube, the total cost would be $12.00.

Also, all students must ride the bus to Gunstock to take advantage of any of these generously lower prices given by Gunstock. If your child is dropped off directly at the mountain then they will be considered “Absent” and not be part of the trip nor we will take any responsibility for them. However, if your child wishes to stay behind at Gunstock instead of returning to school they may do so; they will just need to be signed out by a parent up at the mountain. More to come on that last point.
