Good evening. I just came from a spectacular show put on by our middle school performing arts department. Their production of “Little Mermaid, Jr.” did not disappoint. Actually, our theatre department never disappoints! If you haven’t gotten a chance to see it yet, well you’re in luck as you have two more chances tomorrow (2:00 & 7:00)! Each show is a different cast because that’s how we roll here at GMS. Our students on stage and behind the scenes did an amazing job tonight. And, of course, they are led by a talented and dedicated group of adults; Matt Demko (Director/Producer), Aaron Witham (Set Design/Tech Director), Melissa Nutter (Music Director), Heidi Bourgeois (Choreographer), and Kristen Nazer (Costume Designer). They, too, were supported by many others. So please come and check it out tomorrow!

This past Monday we had our Spelling Bee Finals. Seventeen students from all grade levels survived their class competitions and made it to the finals on Monday. Finishing in third place was Natalie Messer; in second place was Ben Wolpin (remember him from the Geography Bee Finals?) and our school Champion is 8th Grader, Sydney Eastman! Congrats to all who participated!!

The following students have earned “Choose Love” certificates for going well above and beyond the call of duty and helping make GMS a better place for everyone. Students can earn these certificates in the following “pillars”: Courage, Gratitude, Forgiveness & Compassion. Students are recognized by their teachers who then let’s Mr. Walsh and I know of their very good deeds. Earning one certificate so far are Kyle Gandini, Omario Brooks, Tanner Keenan, Neal Downs, Charlotte Lehr, Brett Skoog, Boden Gagne, Maddy Lovely, Jacoby Grace, Emma Horton, Addyson Oswald, Lucas Daley, Lilly Winward, Grace Kelly, Jordan Spooner, Samantha Dahl, Lydia Stefan, Micah Javalgi, Cooper Perkins, Mason Sleeper, and Cam Drouin. Students earning two certificates are Noah Bolduc, Anne Willis, Tucker Crawford, and Isaiah Reese. Very proud of these students.
