Good afternoon. I hope you’ve had the chance to have some fruitful conversations with your child and their teachers. Attendance this year looks like it is up from last year; which is a very good thing.

Student Council News

Beginning on Tuesday, our Student Council launches its “Season of Giving” campaign. Members will be collecting non-perishable and canned goods each school day in the lead-up to Thanksgiving Break. Such things (but not limited to) as peanut butter, pasta, canned veggies and fruit, mac & cheese, etc are examples of items that can be donated. We cannot accept any glass jars or expired/outdated items. Donated goods can be placed in a large box in the main lobby through November 25th.

Student Kudos

Congrats to Alden Townsend and Riley Powers for being accepted to the 2020 Middle Level Honors Band Festival! Students were judged on their recorded auditions and their hard work and talent paid off for the two of them. The festival will take place in Stratham, NH on Tuesday, March 10.

Big thanks to Abby Kenyon and Harry Jenkins who worked with Mr. Walsh this morning in giving a short presentation at the Gilford Rotary regarding the roll-out of the “Choose Love Movement.” It takes a special student to willingly get up early on a day when there is no school to make a presentation to a room full of adults!
