Good afternoon. My wish for all of my staff and students for next week is simply rest and relaxation. Everyone deserves that now more than ever……

When we return from vacation, we will begin the statewide test (NHSAS). Remote learners will need to come into the building to take the test. If they are uncomfortable with coming in, please request an exemption form from me. Students will need to bring in headphones (ones that physically attach to the Chromebook) and a mouse (only if they want one). We will supply snacks and water. Here is what the testing schedule will look like:

Remote Learners (Rooms 475 & 476):

May 7 = Grades 5 & 8 (Science) / Grades 6 & 7 (ELA pt. 1)

May 14 = Grades 5 & 8 (ELA pt. 1) / Grades 6 & 7 (ELA pt. 2)

May 21 = Grades 5 & 8 (ELA pt. 2) / Grades 6 & 7 (Math)

May 28 = Grades 5 & 8 (Math)

All tests will run from 7:45-9:50

Remote learners should be dropped off at school at 7:30

In-Person Learners (Homerooms):

May 5-6 = Grades 5 & 8 (Science)

May 11-13 = Grades 6 & 7 (ELA pts. 1 & 2)

May 18-20 = Grades 5 & 8 (ELA pts. 1 & 2)

May 24-25 = Grades 6 & 7 (Math)

May 26-27 = Grades 5 & 8 (Math)

Testing times

5th & 6th = 7:30-9:35

7th = 9:35-11:40

8th = 8:30-10:35

Next Tuesday the Student Council is holding another fun event for charity. We’re encouraging students to pay $1.00 for the “May the Fourth Be With You,” Star Wars-themed fundraiser. Students and staff can wear their favorite Star Wars gear-please no face masks (except, of course, the COVID ones). And no light sabers! They are raising money for the Lakes Region Disabled Sports organization.

Enjoy the vacation!

Take care,
Peter
