Good evening. Please keep in your thoughts the brave parents who are chaperoning the 8th Grade Dance tonight. But seriously, my thanks to them for putting this together to help send off our 8th graders to high school.

You could feel the excitement/relief in the air today at school. Both students and staff fully realized the end of this crazy year is at hand. Everyone was giddy. Both field trips to the beaches were fantastic and the 5th and 7th graders were surprised with mini field days of their own.

For those parents who were invited to watch their child live receive their Silver Hawk Award, I have shared the recording of the broadcast with your child. Technology failed me today (or I it) thus people outside of our domain were not able to access the video.

Our Silver Hawk recipients were: Mallory Daley, Patrick Brooks, Lamija Pintol, Jordan Samson, Lily Winward, Jade Nicolas, Ryan Folan, Benson Chen, Olivia Albert, Taryn Limanni, Sydney Boudreau, Renee Henderson, Emily Jacques, Beckett Lehr, Ben Valles, Penny Clark, Kayla Desruisseaux, Tess Eckhardt, Tanner Olson, Clara Thompson, and Ryan Suarez.

Our Unified Arts Silver Hawk recipients were: Clara Thompson, Addison Stroud, Easton St. Cyr, Peyton Murphy, Violet Moneysmith, Ava Moncada, Thomas McBey, Alexis Kulcsar, Maddy Breton, Grace Powers, Natalee Magdziasz, Brielle Lee, Kaylee Gard, Colton Byars, Liam Butler, Bella Bryant, Kylie Kelly, Jackson MacGown, Kendall Madon, Maria Tilley, Georgia Eckhardt, Kyle Gandini, Micah Javalgi, and Kaitlyn O’Brien

Our Lifetime Silver Hawk Award went to two students: Georgia Eckhardt and Harry Jenkins. Throughout their middle school career they accumulated more Silver Hawk Awards (6 each) than any other student!

I have attached to this email the Summer Reading for incoming 6-8 grade students. Incoming 5th graders should receive theirs from Mrs. Bolduc.

There is an ice cream social for 8th graders following the ceremony in front of the middle school until 10:45. Students are then invited to lunch at Gilford Beach. Like the dance, this is being offered by a very generous group of parents.

I would like to wish you all a very enjoyable summer and wish for all of us that next year will not be the same as this past year. Understatement of the year. And my most sincerest thanks to our staff for working tirelessly to offer in-person learning to our students; not many schools can say the same thing.

Take care,
